Why multiple styles in one location? Why not?
Many martial artists are exposed to a single art whether it is Karate, TaeKwonDo, Kung-Fu, Muay-Thai, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or any variation of these arts. All are wonderful styles and we can learn much from each one. I have however discovered the value of cross training over the time I have been studying TaeKwonDo.
Over the years cross training in different styles of these arts has become invaluable. As an Olympic TaeKwonDo practitioner I found myself lacking in the skills that would help me both on the ground and standing up trading punches. After I achieved a black belt in TaeKwonDo the need to study other styles became a big desire. Judo, Boxing and Grappling have been added to my arsenal since then and I crave more. Not everyone will want to study different arts but I believe the opportunity should exist without breaking your bank account.
Multiple styles are planned for MARTiAL YOU and we will be working hard to get as many under one roof as we can. Wu-Shu, Savate, Sambo, Eskrima, Silat and many others have valuable skills that can be blended and utilized to make a well rounded martial artist. Each gives a different perspective on self-defense, training and life.
MMA or Mixed Martial Arts is also going to be available but those individuals will be required to take classes in an individual style while attending MMA classes. Since MMA is merely a mix of styles blended together we want those participants to also attain basic skills, discipline and respect taught in the individual styles while training.
